I don't like the scenery on this planet.
My son and husband are off visiting some ghost town with my mother-in-law. They left yesterday and will be back tomorrow afternoon.
I wrote ten pages of the To Train Up A Child article yesterday and another ten today. (Word Document pages, not magazine pages.)
I'd already written a lot, but I kept trying to say everything at once and the article was turning into a hydra that kept trying to choke the life out of itself. Finally I sat down and outlined the hell out of it. Yes, outlining can be a useful skill.
I'm not done writing yet, but the end is in sight.
I could not be sicker of reading and writing about beating children (tell me again how big the branch should be for a child of my son’s age?), children being beaten to death, and how Stockholm Syndrome can and does apply in abusive relationships. Sick does not even begin to cover how I feel about making writer/editor decisions about where exactly in the article I should quote Michael Pearl explaining that a proper spanking should leave a child without breath to cry.
I'm quoting the hell out of the Pearls, because they and their supporters are always saying that they're being quoted out of context.
Context this, freaks.
I should be back on the planet in a day or two.

I've been waiting to comment until I could do so without cursing. These people are sick. It saddens and infuriates me that people follow their methodology. I seriously believe that the Pearls should be arrested for accessory. The poor children...
UGH, I came across an online version of the text of that book a few years ago and it made me want to vomit. I cannot believe those sick freaks are not rotting away in jail for child abuse.
